JONATHAN RUBIN
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, FOUNDER
After discovering the benefits of eliminating seed oils from his diet, Jonathan was on a quest for healthy, delicious snacks. In the midst of reading nutrition facts panels, Jonathan had an epiphany that would result in the creation of the Seed Oil Free Alliance. Health-conscious consumers prefer tastier, better-for-you oils and fats, but there was a lack of education, transparency, and trust around seed oil-free options.
Before founding the Seed Oil Free Alliance, Jonathan was a financial analyst with a strong personal interest in health and wellness.

COREY NELSON
CHIEF INNOVATION OFFICER, CO-FOUNDER
Corey Nelson is responsible for product development and policy at the Seed Oil Free Alliance. He oversees consumer education, strategic partnerships, and a range of operations including lab testing and certified product surveillance. He is also the co-author of the Seed Oil Free Standards with Dr. Andrew Weil.
Prior to co-founding the Seed Oil Free Alliance, Corey worked as a remote health coach and fitness trainer, advising thousands of clients ranging from individuals with medical limitations to elite and professional athletes. He has also managed educational campaigns for dozens of health and wellness companies and written informative, science-based articles that have been viewed by millions of readers.

DR. ANDREW WEIL, MD
SCIENTIFIC & MEDICAL ADVISOR
Andrew Weil is a Harvard-trained medical doctor, author of peer-reviewed scientific papers and New York Times bestselling books, and founder of the True Food Kitchen restaurant group. He is known for his popular lectures and talk show appearances as well as training doctors and nurses at the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona, where he also holds the Lovell-Jones Endowed Chair in Integrative Medicine and is Clinical Professor of Medicine and Professor of Public Health. Dr. Weil serves as a mentor and expert advisor to the Seed Oil Free Alliance team.

ROBERT SCHNURMACHER
CHIEF TECHNICAL OFFICER, PARTNER
Rob brings a wealth of web development experience to his role at the Seed Oil Free Alliance, where he works closely with the partnership on coding, data automation, and operational scalability.
He is also the founder of Equivox, a boutique digital marketing agency, where he has spent three decades contributing to advertising campaigns and digital marketing projects for clients including MTV, ESPN, NBC Sports, Burton Snowboards, Credit Suisse First Boston, South Florida Tri-Rail, the Oakland Raiders, and others.

Maggie Bell, RD, MS, RN
NUTRITION ADVISOR
In her role as Nutrition Advisor, Maggie plays a pivotal role in shaping consumer and industry education initiatives at the Seed Oil Free Alliance. She is driven by a commitment to making healthy, seed oil-free foods accessible to all, focusing on both the public’s well-being and the improvement of product standards across the food industry.
Maggie’s passion for the preventive power of nutrition took root during her time as a Critical Care Nurse, where she witnessed firsthand the impact of poor dietary habits on long-term health. Today, through her business, Maggie Bell Nutrition & Wellness, she empowers clients to reach their health goals through personalized dietary and lifestyle interventions.

NICOLE M. PETERSEN, RD
NUTRITION ADVISOR
Nicole is a registered dietitian dedicated to holistic wellness and practical, evidence-based nutrition. A UC Berkeley graduate with honors in nutritional science, she blends her expertise with a deep curiosity for cutting-edge research in biology and longevity. Outside of her professional life, Nicole enjoys reimagining classic indulgent recipes into healthier options and staying active through fitness pursuits.

JAMIE JACOBSEN
GRAPHIC DESIGNER AND CONTENT COORDINATOR
As Graphic Designer and Content Coordinator at the Seed Oil Free Alliance, Jamie Jacobsen leads design efforts in social media, web design, marketing materials, and Seed Oil Free Certified seal implementation and Seed Oil Free Story announcements for brand partners.
Drawing from extensive experience in digital marketing, videography, user interface design, and product photography, Jamie also operates Shire House Creative, a design studio in Nashville, TN.

FOREST DOYLE
DATA COORDINATOR AND CHIEF AUDITOR
As Data Coordinator and Chief Auditor, Forest manages data systems at the Seed Oil Free Alliance, ensuring that brand partners’ information is processed efficiently, securely, and confidentially. Additionally, he is responsible for enforcing the auditing and traceability requirements necessary to maintain high levels of consumer confidence in the certification.
Forest draws on fifteen years of experience as an information professional with a Masters in Library Science. When he’s not cataloging or sorting, you can find him hiking the Appalachian Trail, folk dancing, or sipping kava in the beautiful mountain town of Asheville, North Carolina.

ERIC SCHNELL
CPG ADVISOR
Eric Schnell is the founder and CEO of BeyondBrands, an agency and expert collective dedicated to increasing the impact of conscious consumer packaged goods companies. He is also the co-founder of Steaz, Cool Beans, and GoodSAM. As an industry veteran, Eric is uniquely positioned to help the Seed Oil Free Alliance and brand partners navigate the healthy CPG space.

JENNIFER PETERS
FOOD SERVICE AND CULINARY ADVISOR
As Food Service and Culinary Advisor at the Seed Oil Free Alliance, Jennifer assists restaurant brands with making the switch to healthier oils and fats. She also draws from her expertise to champion healthier, tastier options for health-conscious consumers and to create educational content on seed oil-free cooking for home chefs.
After earning her MBA at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, Jennifer founded Just BE Kitchen in Denver, Colorado, now the first Seed Oil Free Certified regional restaurant group. With three locations and growing, Just BE offers high-quality comfort food that’s tasty and craveable, yet with a strict focus on allergen-free and anti-inflammatory offerings.

ERIN LEEDS
RESTAURANT AND RECIPE ADVISOR
Erin is the owner and concept chef at Garden Butcher, a Seed Oil Free Certified restaurant and healthy prepared food market in Boca Raton, Florida. She graduated from the Culinary Institute of Charleston and further honed her culinary and pastry skills and passion at Le Cordon Bleu London. She has worked at restaurants including Maialino (NYC), The River Cafe (London), The Fat Duck (Bray, England), a small restaurant in Tuscany, Italy, and as a family private chef in Boston, New York, and the Hamptons.
In her role as Restaurant and Recipe Advisor with the Seed Oil Free Alliance, Erin is dedicated to educating and assisting other restaurant owners, chefs, and people cooking at home in preparing healthy, delicious meals while avoiding harmful seed oils.
