Never ones to shy away from the road less traveled, Artisan Tropic has added a new distinction to their beloved plantain and cassava snacks with the Seed Oil Free Alliance’s certification. Following their conviction and dedication to always providing nourishing snacks with pure, simple ingredients, this is yet another way that Artisan Tropic can show consumers their commitment to purity and transparency and continue to raise the bar and shift the standard for industry integrity.
The first of its kind, this third-party certification by the Seed Oil Free Alliance sets an industry standard to ensure that absolutely no seed oils are found in the products that bear the Seed Oil Free distinction. Backed by medical professionals, the Seed Oil Free Alliance’s strict standards are to ensure that the highly processed, nutritionally void seed oils found in so many foods today are completely out of the picture in any product bearing their certification.
Using verified, independent labs, all oils and refined fat ingredients used in certified foods are tested in addition to finished goods testing to ensure the final product is completely seed oil-free. Additionally, the oils tested may not contain unwanted artificial ingredients like preservatives, colorings or flavorings. The Seed Oil Free Alliance also conducts regular auditing on all brands bearing this certification.

In addition to the newly achieved Seed Oil Free certification, Artisan Tropic’s plantain and cassava strips and crackers are also certified Gluten Free, Paleo, USDA Organic (applies only to Crackers) Non-GMO Project Verified (applies only to Strips), Certified Glyphosate Residue Free, and Certified Kosher.
